Hi

I work with music & culture.

I’m head of A&R for Moves Recordings, an imprint of Marathon Artists. I also A&R for Tim & Barry Records. A partial discography of music I’ve worked on for Moves is available here and for Tim and Barry here.

In 2022 I wrote the book Wooshaccompanied by photography from Tim & Barry. It is, to our knowledge, the first ever book dedicated to UK Drill music. The first edition sold out in a couple of weeks. Reprints are currently available exclusively from the Lazaridis Gallery here.

I freelance as a writer and consultant, specialising in underground music, film and literature. I’ve written extensively for outlets including The Guardian, BBC, Vice, i-D, FACT Mag, Fader, Mixmag, DJ Time Out, Ransom Note (where I was previously contributing editor), Boiler Room, Dummy, etc.

I have worked as a consultant on various documentaries for Channel 4, Soundcloud, Fader, BBC, Boiler Room, Tim & Barry and more. I also write PR material, artist biographies and brand copy- past clients include Sony, Live Nation, Universal, Moog, Warners, and various independents.

In 2018 I was commissioned to write my first full length feature film, London Acid City, currently in early stages of production.

I’ve DJ’d everywhere from Fabric to Glastonbury Festival, produced a couple of records and remixes under a various aliases, made some stupid mash ups that have gone viral, and had my 2015 mixtape A Body Full of Stars appear on the reading list of a number of university courses on Afrofuturism.

.

I (extremely sporadically!) update the portfolio of stuff I’ve been worked on – writing/ music/ films etc – over on this page.
